    Abstract

Studies that replicate, reproduce, or generalize previously published findings are increasingly recognized as essential for advancing management science across a number of journals and disciplines (Bettis et al., 2016; Köhler & Cortina, 2021; Kraimer et al., 2023). Yet, many scholars have limited experience with these types of studies and wonder whether journals will publish them. This workshop brings together a set of multidisciplinary scholars with expertise in conducting, reviewing/editing, and publishing replication, reproducibility, and/or generalizability studies. It will introduce the similarities and differences among the three general types of studies, along with best practices on how to design and execute literal, quasi-random, and constructive replication and reproducibility studies, including ones that offer generalizability of the findings. We will then provide advice on how to report and "frame" these types of studies for publication in top journals. This will be an interactive workshop with break-out rooms and time for Q&A.
