    Who is this PDW for?

If you are interested to learn how to publish in a top management journal and have questions for scholars with experience publishing in top management journals, then this PDW is for you!

    Overview

This PDW brings together a distinguished panel of academics to discuss how to navigate the publication process. Given the importance of publications, this panel will go "behind the scenes" of published papers and learn about the publication journey from prolific scholars. This will include how they navigated the highs and lows in the review process, how they dealt with reviewer comments, and how they handled paper rejections. Our distinguished panelists have published in a wide range of top management journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, Organization Science, and Administrative Science Quarterly.

    Panelists

    ·      N. Sharon Hill, Professor of Management at George Washington University School of Business

    ·      Tristan Botelho, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at Yale School of Management

    ·      Lindsey Cameron, Assistant Professor of Management at University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School

    ·      Bo Cowgill, Assistant Professor of Management at Columbia Business School

    Structure of the PDW
Part 1 - Moderated and Audience Q&A: The first part of the PDW will be a Q&A session with our panelists. They will discuss their publication experiences, either in relation to one of their papers or general learnings in their career, answering questions such as, how to approach reviewer comments and how to navigate the psychological ups and downs. We will also take questions from the audience.

Part 1 is open to all attendees and does not require any application in advance.

Part 2: Breakout sessions: Pre-selected participants will pitch their project/idea to one of the four panelists and can ask questions about their specific project/idea. If you are currently going through the review process or are about to embark on one, this is a great opportunity for you to get feedback on how to best navigate the publication process.

You can apply to be one of these pre-selected participants.

    Please complete this survey.

You will be asked to submit the following information:

    1.     Abstract of the paper/idea you want to feedback on (less than 250 words).

    2.     A paragraph on the challenges you've experienced, or you foresee experiencing in the publication process for this paper/idea.

Please submit your application by July 20th, 2024.

We encourage applications particularly from PhDs and post-docs.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Steph (schan@london.edu) or Laura (l.giurge@lse.ac.uk).
