    The Department of Psychology in the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences at Baruch College, a senior college of the City University of New York (CUNY), invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor Level in Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology to begin August 2023. This is one of several hires the Department is conducting this year to expand research and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

    The successful candidate will conduct programmatic research in IO psychology in addition to teaching duties. The successful candidate will also be invited to participate in the doctoral program in the Industrial Organizational Psychology at CUNY's Graduate Center. They will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate, masters and PhD levels, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in a productive program of research with the potential for top-tier publications in industrial and organizational psychology and external funding. All areas of research in IO psychology will be considered, but research focusing on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion will be preferred.     The Department of Psychology houses undergraduate programs in General Psychology (BA) and IO psychology (BBA), terminal master's programs in Mental Health Counseling (MMHC) and IO psychology (MSIO), and CUNY's doctoral program in IO psychology. Baruch College is ideally situated in the historic Gramercy Park area of Manhattan, offering many professional and personal opportunities and easy access to global resources in the world of business and research as well as New York 's world class cultural attractions.

    NOTES:

    All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to the tri-state area.

    Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate in Industrial or Organizational psychology by August 25, 2023. We require evidence of the ability to teach successfully, engage in high- quality scholarship, and cooperate with others for the good of the institution, as well as work effectively with a diverse community.
