A new episode of the Academy of Management Review's Origins Series is out. In this episode, Stefan Volk, David A. Waldman, and Chris Barnes discuss the development of their AMR article titled "A Circadian Theory of Paradoxical Leadership."

This is a great discussion about:

    • The opportunities and challenges that come with integrating distinct research streams in the process of developing management theory (e.g., sleep and leadership).

    • Navigating issues and tradeoffs of complexity versus simplicity in management theorizing.

    • Generating theory that is highly practical and relevant to day-to-day organizational activities.

We create the episodes to examine the process and nuances of writing conceptual papers for ALL MANAGEMENT SCHOLARS. The podcast is less about the theory itself and more about the process of developing management theory.

    Enjoy!
