We are seeking nominations for the 2024 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Doctoral Student Consortium. Self-nominations are welcome.
The consortium will be in person and will occur on Saturday, August 10 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the Academy of Management meeting in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The 2024 doctoral student consortium will include a diverse mix of speaker panels and participative roundtable discussions designed to provide doctoral students with a realistic, open, and honest understanding of how to build a research identity, navigate a career post Ph.D., and bring their ideas to publication in academic journals. Participants will also have the opportunity for more personalized connections and feedback through a mentor-match to be held after the consortium (or at another mutually agreed upon time), in which participants are paired with a scholar based on the participant's research interests.
We expect an enrollment of about 25 doctoral students, and the application deadline is July 5 2024. Decisions are made on a rolling basis until we reach our capacity. Preference may be given to later-stage doctoral students. Please see additional information below for details on how to apply. You may contact any of the organizers listed below with questions.
