    Dear OB colleagues,

We invite you to attend our AOM PDW, titled "Psych'ed Up for Business School: Preparing I-O Psychologists for Business School Careers".

Our session uses a combination of asynchronous and synchronous components (see below). The synchronous part of the session is scheduled for August 9th from 12-1:30pm (EDT) and will be conducted in the "real-time-open" format.

In our PDW, we aim to help I-O psychologists better understand the nuances of working in business schools, relative to psychology departments. We thus convene a diverse panel of business school faculty, representing various ranks (i.e., Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor), roles (e.g., Dean, Chair, Faculty), and foci (e.g., research, teaching)-most of whom have an I-O psychology educational background. Our session is organized into two segments.

    • First, the workshop will include pre-recorded presentations from our individual panelists that focus on the different aspects of preparing as an I-O graduate student for, applying to, and working in business schools. Please note that these recordings are available asynchronously before the session as supplemental files.
    • Next, we will host a live (synchronous) session including (a) roundtable discussions where panelists will each cover and lead a specific discussion topic (e.g., research, teaching), and (b) a question-and-answer session with the full audience, focusing on various aspects of working within a business school as an I-O psychologist.

    Panelists:

    • Donald Gibson, Manhattan College
    • Angela Grotto, Manhattan College
    • Lorianne Mitchell, East Tennessee State University
    • Juan Sanchez, Florida International University
    • Logan Steele, University of South Florida

Pre-registration is not required for this session. However, we encourage attendees to complete the survey below to let us know a bit about yourself and/or if you would prefer to submit questions anonymously for the panel (though you can ask questions live as well!):
