    Position Description

    The Department of Psychology at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure track or tenured position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank beginning Fall 2020. A Ph.D. in I/O Psychology or closely related field (e.g., organizational development, organizational behavior) is required. ABD candidates will be considered pending strong evidence that the Ph.D. will be completed by August 2020. The ideal candidate will have a strong publication record or strong publication potential, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and the ability to develop a funded research program. Associate Professor applicants should have made significant scholarly contributions and have a history of funded research. Full Professor applicants should have developed a national/international status and have a strong history of funded research. The successful applicant will be expected to teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses and engage in productive research activities, as well as supervise student research and applied projects. Successful candidates are also expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service.

     

    Department of Psychology Information

    The Department of Psychology, which is housed within the College of Science, has both an M.S. program in I/O Psychology and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with an emphasis in I/O Psychology. Many prospects exist for research collaboration with both faculty and industry, as well as applied opportunities within the Industrial and Organizational Psychology Center (www.thei-ocenter.com). The Center is an entity housed within the Department of Psychology dedicated to "bridging the gap" between science and practice. It is actively supported by a receptive business community and is focused on building and maintaining ongoing collaborative partnerships among students, business leaders, and academic colleagues.
