The International Humanistic Management Association (IHMA) welcomes you to join Sandra Waddock with Four Arrows (Wahinkpe Toa, aka Donald Trent Jacobs), prolific author on Indigenous wisdom, professor at Fielding Graduate University, horseman, prize-winning 'old time' pianist, surfer, and general polymath, for an Intellectual Shamans webinar on October 9, 2020, at noon EDT. Four Arrows will provide insight into how Indigenous wisdom and worldviews can help us all, as academics, repair our troubled world. He is a true intellectual shaman-in every sense!

All of us can learn much from Indigenous perspectives, as Four Arrows, will outline. "Shaman" and "Medicine-Man or Woman" are terms that have come to describe a person in traditional Indigenous cultures whose self-knowledge, artfulness, skills, and experience with Spiritual energies are utilized for: maintaining or attaining lost balance; healing psychological or physical illness; and, improving relationships with self and others. CAT-FAWN is a mnemonic worldview reflection relating to four influencing forces (Fear, Authority, Words and Nature) and using trance-based learning to choose optimal transformations where most needed.

The Intellectual Shaman series is hosted by IHMA as a Faculty Development format. It is co-sponsored by the Galligan Chair of Strategy at Boston College.
