    Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's Orfalea College of Business has been approved for a second tenure-track OB/HR position. If you have already applied for the first position we encourage you to apply for the second as well.

    The Management Area of the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track, academic year position at Assistant/Associate Professor level in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management. Interest and ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate (MBA) level classes is desirable. In addition to teaching core courses in organizational behavior/human resource management, the ideal applicant could also teach one or more specialized courses covering content areas such as staffing, performance management, compensation, cross-culture management, or people analytics. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) topics are a foundation of the material taught in our Organizational Behavior and Human Resource classes. The position is designed to strengthen Cal Poly's on-going efforts in enhancing DEI climate, thus the candidate is expected to incorporate a DEI emphasis in instruction and research. 

    The successful candidate must have completed a doctorate or equivalent degree in Business or a closely related field from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution. The Ph.D. should be awarded by the time of appointment in Fall 2022. Applicants are expected to demonstrate exemplary teaching, a strong publication record and research pipeline, and currency in their professional field. Applicants must have the ability to work with diverse students and engage diversity in the curriculum. The candidate must demonstrate a track record of and/or plan for incorporating curricular coverage of areas related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as to promote inclusive teaching strategies.
