    CALL FOR PAPERS
    Distances in Organizations Virtual Workshop
    May 20-21, 2021

We invite submissions for Distances in Organizations' (DIO) 4th annual workshop, which we will hold virtually on May 20-21, 2021.

The workshop will cover topics such as construal levels (e.g., measurement and manipulation, conceptualization), cognitive distance and its implications for varied organizational phenomena (e.g., strategy, leadership, performance, justice, teamwork), social distances between employees (e.g., hierarchy, diversity, networks, culture), spatial distances in work teams (e.g., distributed teams, mobile work), and temporal distances in work projects (e.g., goal setting, temporal horizons).

The goal of the workshop is to provide a platform for academics and graduate students engaged in DIO research to present their findings, discuss innovative ideas, and share techniques for conducting research in this area. DIO is designed to be a small workshop (around 50 participants) to facilitate discussion and exchange of ideas between attendees. In addition, the workshop aims to encourage networking through online social events.

The first DIO workshop was held in 2018 at McGill University, the second was held in 2019 at New York University, and the third was held online in 2020. For more information on our past events, please visit: reyt.net/dio
