    Dear Colleagues,

At the link below, you will be able to view the recording of the talk I have given about the article I coauthored with Thomas Chermack, titled "The resistance to scientific theory in futures and foresight, and what to do about it" in the occasion of the recently held Global Foresight Summit (virtual conference) 2021.

In this research, we draw from the conceptualization of theory as in management and organization scholarship, i.e. mid-range, critical realist explanatory theory, to encourage the study of futures and foresight interventions, capabilities and methods within organizational contexts. The article has stirred considerable discussions, as instantiated by the ten experts' commentaries in response to it, published on the journal Futures and Foresight Science. We are currently preparing a rejoinder to the ten commentaries. Acting as a bridge between the field of futures and foresight and the field of management, I hope that this work will encourage not only futures and foresight scholars to theorize about what they do within organizations, but also that scholars within business schools will consider study futures and foresight practices and process more systematically.
