    Hi folks,

A couple years ago, I reached out to this community, asking for suggestions and resources for an article covering the application of the attraction-selection-attrition model to culture change, written in a way that would be accessible to MBA students and other professionals.

At the time, I was using 'The People Make The Place', but it was written for researchers more than practitioners, and it wasn't directly about culture change.  I wanted a resource that I could use to get students thinking about how shared personality can shape and constrain the limits of what kinds of cultural changes are possible.

I'm delighted to report that one of the folks who reached out was Ben Schneider, who suggested that we write just such an article.  Marc Sokol, an AE at the OD Review (a practitioner journal for org development specialists) took our idea and turned it into a wonderful conversation, bringing together responses from researchers (Ed Shein, Jennifer Chatman, and others) and practitioners (Jim McQueen, Karen Paul, and others) to create a rich dialogue about how and when shared personality might shape culture change efforts.

The folks at the OD Network have been generous in allowing this entire issue to be shared openly for people to use as a teaching resource:  http://faculty.haas.berkeley.edu/chatman/papers/ODReview_vol53_no1.pdf.  I hope that others looking for a similar type of resource for their MBA teaching will find this useful!

    All the best,

    Lukas

Just an FYI that you need to delete the "." at the end of the link to get to the paper.

Thank you, Lukas, for bringing this idea to the table!
