    2nd International Conference on Self-Initiated Expatriation, 11th - 12th April 2022, Bamberg, Germany  

     

    The 2nd International Conference on Self-Initiated Expatriation will take place at the University of Bamberg, in beautiful Bamberg, Germany, from the 11th to the 12th of April 2022. As a follow-up to the 1st Conference on Self-Initiated Expatriation in Toulouse, this two-day event will address the careers of Self-Initiated Expatriates/Migrants, as well as the value these globally mobile individuals bring to companies and, more broadly, to host-country economies and societies.

     

    This interdisciplinary conference will provide the ideal opportunity for researchers and practitioners from all over the world who are active or interested in the field of self-initiated expatriation/migration and careers, to:

    • disseminate and discuss the latest research,
    • explore new international research and business collaborations,
    • meet in a relaxed atmosphere to exchange views and build new relationships.

    The conference is linked to a special issue from Career Development International; all conference submissions can be submitted to this Special Issue (submissions to CDI 30 April 2022 to 30 July 2022). You are welcome to attend a Paper Development Workshop at the 2nd international conference on self-initiated expatriation to receive feedback from the guest editors, before submitting the manuscript to the CDI.
