    The Technical University of Munich invites applicants for the position of

     

    Professor of

    »Digital HR Management & Analytics«

     

    to begin in winter semester 2020/21, or earlier/later by mutual agreement. While we are particularly looking to hire young, international talents as tenure track assistant professors (W2 fixed term position with tenure track to a tenured W3 position), we may also consider exceptional applications for a tenured W3 position as associate or full professor. The professorship is endowed by the Dieter Schwarz Foundation and will be located in Munich/Garching.

     

    Scientific environment

    The professorship belongs to the TUM School of Management. The school is currently listed one of the strongest German business school for research. We aim to create real impact through our research contributing to solving humanity's greatest challenges. Existing members of the business school publish in top business, economics and general science journals. The professors of the School have access to an experimental lab, a subject pool as well as to major databases for research. The School has close ties to industry.

     

    Responsibilities

    The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of (digital) HR management/HR analytics. The teaching load includes courses in the university's bachelor's and master's programs. We expect the successful candidate to successfully attract third-party funding.

     

    Qualifications

    We are looking for candidates with research and teaching experience at the highest international standards, according to the relevant career level. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree as well as pedagogical aptitude, including the ability to teach in English, are also prerequisites. We further expect substantial research experience outside of Germany, and the ability to gain and to lead cooperative research projects. The candidates should have demonstrated proficiency through top tier publications in HR related research fields. Candidates with an HR analytics focus or a focus on other aspects of digital HRM such as selection or performance management are preferred, but candidates from other relevant or related subfields are also encouraged to apply.
