We invite you to participate in the 2021 AOM PDW on "Psych'ed Up for Business School: Preparing I-O Psychologists for Business School Careers" (session 640).
We are scheduled to conduct our session from 2:30pm–4:30pm ET on Sunday, August 1st. The PDW will be held in the "synchronous live open" format.

Summary
In this session, we aim to help I-O psychologists better understand the nuances of working in business schools, relative to psychology departments. We assemble a diverse panel of business school faculty with a psychology educational background who represent various ranks (i.e., Assistant, Associate, Full Professor), roles (i.e., faculty, Chair, Dean), and foci (i.e., from research, teaching institutions).
Schedule
- 10 mins: Welcome/brief panelist introductions
- 65 mins: Rotating roundtable discussions
- Panelists will cover and lead specific discussion topics about business school careers as I-O psychologists (e.g., job market preparation, tenure expectations)
- 45 mins: Q&A session and concluding remarks
- Attendees will be able to ask questions directed towards a specific panelist or the entire group of panelists focused on various aspects of working within a business school as an I-O psychologist
