    The Villanova School of Business invites applications for the Fred J. Springer Endowed Chair in Business Leadership. The position has a start date of Fall 2021.

    Established in 2001, the Fred J. Springer Endowed Chair in Business Leadership supports the strategic direction of the Villanova School of Business, thereby enriching the academic and professional development opportunities available to business students.

    The successful candidate will have an established record as a prominent scholar or is on pace to achieve that level. Working within the Department of Management and Operations, the Springer Chair is expected to raise the visibility of the Villanova School of Business in the area of organizational behavior, provide pedagogical leadership at all levels, and maintain an active leadership presence within Villanova University and the broader scholarly community. Minimum qualifications: Applicants must be at or above the Associate Professor level and possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, or related field. Preferred qualifications: Applicants should have an outstanding research and service record, demonstrate a continuing commitment to produce high level research in the field, be outstanding teachers, and be collegial in all respects. Candidates with expertise in the areas of gender and diversity in organizations are especially invited to apply.

Department members are active in leadership roles within journals and within the Academy of Management. The Department is collegial and works as a team to further individual research interests and teaching objectives.
