The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites outstanding scholars to apply for the Karl A. and Lillian Bostrom Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation to begin in the Fall of 2021. We are seeking an EntrepreneurshipManagement scholar who possesses a superior academic record that includes significant research contributions and a strong commitment to teaching excellence to enhance our current faculty at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
With expertise and leadership gained from a distinguished career of progressive experiences, the qualified candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Business or a closely related field, majoring in Entrepreneurship/Management or an allied area. Required qualifications also include an outstanding record of publications in top peer-reviewed journals and a strong research pipeline. Additionally, evidence of teaching excellence along with a strong interest to teach courses in Entrepreneurship is required. Preferred qualifications include a history of high-impact research publications and engagement with the business community. High preference will be given to candidates who are nationally and/or internationally recognized for leadership in the field.
The Karl A. and Lillian Bostrom Professor will function as a champion and catalyst at the Lubar School of Business to raise awareness and interest among students and the academic community regarding the crucial roles that entrepreneurship and innovation play in the success of the U.S. economy. Responsibilities will include providing leadership in the areas of generation and dissemination of knowledge and educational offerings pertinent to entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, and innovation. As a key member in our Management area, the Professor will engage with the regional business/startup community and the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center to promote the Bostrom Center for Competitiveness, Innovation and Entrepreneurship as a foremost research organization. Additionally, the professor will lead efforts in launching new programs in Entrepreneurship as well as engage with graduate and doctoral students as a mentor to advance research that will enhance knowledge of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business competitiveness.
