    Dear colleagues,

the submission deadline for the Open Innovation in Science (OIS) Research Conference 2022 at CERN IdeaSquare, Geneva, is approaching.
Please submit your 250-500 word abstract by January 16. To do so, please click here or follow this link https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=oisconference2022.

For more details, please see the Call for Abstracts (https://cutt.ly/CIseA2f)

    Conference details:

    When: May 11-13, 2022

Where: Hybrid conference at CERN IdeaSquare, Geneva, with online and offline elements to enable physical and virtual contributions and participation

Conference program: In addition to research paper presentation sessions, the program includes keynotes, panel debates, as well as OIS experimentation sessions related to this year's special theme on the "Relationships between Artificial Intelligence and Openness and Collaboration in Science".

COVID-19 disclaimer: We are closely monitoring the developments related to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. In accordance with the situation in spring and in line with the COVID Traffic Light System at CERN, we will adjust the conference program if needed and keep you posted. For now, we expect to run the conference as planned in a hybrid format. A COVID-19 safety concept will be in place for all participants who join us in-person at CERN.

Started in 2019, this conference brings together scholars from across disciplines who are interested in investigating and discussing the role and value of openness and collaboration in science. In addition to inspirational paper sessions, we also "walk the talk" by experimenting with novel ways to do our own research. In the past, we have co-conceptualized the OIS field from scratch (Beck et al., 2020) and co-developed research proposals with "users" of our research (Beck et al., 2021).

Join the thriving OIS community, share your research, and become part of the next OIS experiment! We look forward to receiving your submissions and seeing you at the conference.

    All the best,

The Organizing Team - Susanne Beck, Christoph Grimpe, Markus Nordberg, Marion Poetz & Henry Sauermann
