    Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Work Psychology (Assistant/Associate Professor)

    Summary:

We have an opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Work Psychology to deliver excellent research and teaching within our Work Psychology Group. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the areas of employee wellbeing or counterproductive work behaviours, teamworking or training and development. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the School and the wider University in the areas of research, teaching, leadership and professional standing, and wider engagement.
    You will hold a PhD in a relevant area (or equivalent qualifications/experience), and will have the ability to (Lecturer) or evidence of (Senior Lecturer) designing and delivering high-quality, research-led teaching programmes. Those applying as a Lecturer will be an excellent researcher with a growing or established high-quality research profile as evidenced through internationally excellent research outputs; those applying as a Senior Lecturer will be an excellent researcher with evidence of sustained and continuing research performance as evidence through high-quality, internationally excellent research outputs.
    It is anticipated that the selection process (presentation to staff and an interview) will be held on Tuesday 09 November.     The Management School has an exciting opportunity for a proven thought leader and researcher with a distinguished publication record at a world-leading level to join us as Chair in Work Psychology (specialising in Leadership), based in the School's Institute for Work Psychology (IWP). You should have significant experience in winning external research funding, with an ambition to grow a critical mass of funding and resources and to provide intellectual direction for research appropriate to the position. You will be able to demonstrate skills in the leadership and the mentoring of academic staff in research, publication and income generation activities, and also have the ability to work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders. As a senior member of staff, it is expected that you will provide academic leadership and also undertake a senior leadership role (such as Head of Research Centre or Head of Subject Group).
    We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the areas of leadership development, followership, leading teams and leading to promote employee wellbeing and thriving but are also interested in any area of leadership that intersects with the other IWP themes (see ATJ for further details).
    You will hold a PhD in a relevant area (or equivalent qualifications/experience), have experience of developing and delivering teaching programmes to ensure consistently high-quality teaching, learning and student support, a significant track record of regular publication of consistently excellent quality outputs and will have experience of building and developing a team of researchers.
