    Position

    The Department of Management in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor with a research specialization in diversity and inclusion (D&I), effective fall semester 2022, pending available funding.

    Responsibilities

    Effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, maintaining a stream of high-quality research, participating in activities of the department, and fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities. Included in the latter is serving as the Director of the College's Center for Workplace Diversity & Inclusion (CWDI). As the CWDI Director, the new hire will work with faculty to raise visibility of the center, build community partnerships, and enhance on-campus collaboration.


    The Department of Management is an academically diverse, research-oriented group with 16 full-time faculty positions. Academic specializations include: OB/HR, D&I, entrepreneurship, and strategic management. The Department offers degree programs at all levels, including an active doctoral program, and is fully accredited by AACSB International.     Qualifications

    Candidates should have a Ph.D. with a concentration in management or closely related discipline, a record of effective university teaching and commitment to teaching excellence, and evidence of a strong research program targeting leading management journals (e.g., JAP, JOM, AMJ, SMJ, JOB, PPsych, JBP). Primary research can be in OB/HR, strategic management, international management, etc., but must have a clear D&I emphasis. Demonstrated experience in obtaining external research funding and/or center leadership is a plus but not necessary. While we prefer candidates who are already tenured at a comparable institution, advanced Assistant Professors with strong research records are also encouraged to apply. 

    Compensation

    This is a 9-month appointment and offers competitive compensation, research support, and an attractive benefits program. The CWDI director role entails additional compensation.

    The College

    The Fogelman College of Business and Economics has become a leading business school in the Southeast. Degree programs offered include the BBA, MBA, MA and MS, and PhD. The academic programs of the College are fully accredited by AACSB International. The College faculty of approximately 95 serves over 3,600 students, with approximately 2,400 undergraduates, 1,000 master's students, and 60 doctoral students. The highly-qualified faculty are recognized for scholarship and publications in leading academic and professional journals.
