    HEC Paris: Senior Tenure-Track Position in Leadership (in Doha and Paris), Management and Human Resources Department 

     

    The Department of Management and Human Resources at HEC Paris is recruiting for a senior tenure-track faculty position in Leadership starting in September 2021 (or earlier).

    The position starts with a mandatory posting in Qatar for a minimal but renewable period of three years. The posting in Doha is a secondment appointment as faculty member of HEC Paris in Qatar.

    Candidate Profile

    Applicants should have solid teaching and research experience in the areas of Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, or Human Resource Management. Their focus should be on leadership and leadership development.

    Successful candidates will have demonstrated their ability to publish in premier academic journals in management. They should also be effective teachers for high-standard executive education participants in Paris and Doha. Teaching is in English and knowledge of French is not a requirement.

    The deadline for receipt of all application files is December 31st, 2020. Please include a letter of intent, an updated CV, a job paper, two other samples of writing, a research statement, a teaching statement, and recent teaching evaluations (particularly from executive education programs).     Compensation

    At HEC Paris, compensation levels, research funding and travel support are competitive and similar to those at other leading business schools.

    During the secondment period to HEC Paris in Qatar, a generous package is supplemented including benefits (e.g. housing and schooling stipend among others). There are also generous income tax and VAT incentives provided in the State of Qatar.

    The Management and HR Department includes Roxana Barbulescu, Federica de Stefano, Françoise Chevalier, Julien Jourdan, Wooseok Jung, Michel Lander, Elie Matta, Daniel Newark, Mathis Schulte, Michael Segalla, and Santosh Srinivas. Our members have published in leading management and disciplinary journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, American Journal of Sociology, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, OBHDP, Research in the Sociology of Organizations, and Strategic Management Journal, among others.

    The department has a small but competitive doctoral program with international placements.
