The Foundation Lab (Yuhua Li, Sadie Kee) is organizing a symposium for the SIOP 2025 Annual Conference, focusing on the impact of work rumination and work reflection. This topic is particularly relevant given the rise of remote and hybrid work, the increased focus on mental health, and the ongoing challenges of work-life integration.
We currently have two contributions and are seeking two to three additional papers to complete the symposium. We are looking for theoretical and empirical papers on topics such as:
- • Innovative conceptualizations of work rumination and its various typologies.
- • Research on how individual differences in rumination affect work outcomes and well-being.
- • Factors driving short- and long-term variations in work rumination within individuals.
- • Interventions designed to address negative ruminations and their effectiveness.
- • Emerging questions and future directions in work rumination research.
