    The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University invites applications for one or more tenure track Assistant Professor positions in Management, to begin in August 2023. Selected candidates are expected to contribute to our scholarship and curriculum in the area of Human Resource Management (HRM), so we are seeking applicants with an emphasis in HRM (or Organizational Behavior as it touches on HRM). The selected candidate will be expected to publish high-impact research in top-tier Management journals and teach at least one course in HRM (the standard teaching load is two courses per semester).     The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship is a vibrant, supportive, and productive group of 35 faculty members (20 tenure-track and 15 term), currently chaired by Deidra J. Schleicher. With research interests spanning the areas of HR, OB, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Healthcare Management, our faculty have published research in a wide variety of top journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Business Venturing. The department offers undergraduate degrees in Human Resource Management, Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Healthcare Management. The department also offers a Masters in Entrepreneurship and PhD programs in Management as well as Entrepreneurship.

    Required Qualifications: 

    •PhD (or expected completion prior to August 2023) in Management, Human Resource Management, I/O Psychology, or related field.

    •Demonstrated ability to produce strong scholarly research, with potential for publication in the department's top journals.

    •Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduates.

    •Must meet the college's standards to be Scholarly Academic Qualified under AACSB Accreditation standards.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    A record of publications in high quality journals and papers presented at major conferences.

    •Significant research in progress targeted at top Management journals.

    •A record of high-quality teaching related to the area of Human Resource Management.

    •Evidence of engagement with and service to the profession and field.

    •Potential to contribute to the development and mentoring of departmental PhD students.
