Please join us at AOM in the first ever PDW on Teaching Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), inspired by the late Dr. Katherine Phillips, on Tuesday, August 9th from 8:00am – 11:30am. The purpose of this workshop is to prepare faculty members of all levels and demographic backgrounds to manage and facilitate classroom discussions related to DEI.  This includes, but is not limited to, direction on how to introduce sensitive topics, how to engage with students, how to handle difficult questions, and more. Curious about new/best exercises and activities? Need some tips and tricks for managing the classroom when teaching these topics? We hope that our teaching demonstrations from experienced DEI instructors, panels, and roundtable discussions will provide you with the answers you seek and build your excitement and confidence in leading DEI courses.

As an initiative launched by the late Dr. Katherine Phillips and colleagues to build community among DEI instructors, we see this workshop as an opportunity to further the goal of cultivating connection among those who value and contribute to DEI-related conversations in the classroom. Communication will be sent directly to attendees as the date gets closer!

Please join us by registering here (*SPACE IS LIMITED* first come, first serve!): https://forms.gle/t7tYeSMdEKA2LmybA
