Dear Colleagues,
Samantha Stalion and I are excited to announce that we are organizing a Presenter Symposium on the topic of gaslighting in the workplace for the 2025 Academy of Management (AOM) Conference. Our aim is to shed light on this emerging form of workplace abuse, explore its underlying concepts, and advance both theoretical and empirical research in this area.
So, what is gaslighting? It is a form of covert psychological manipulation that leads individuals to question their perceptions and beliefs (Stern, 2007). This emerging area demands attention, and we invite researchers and professionals to contribute to this discussion.
We invite you to submit papers that align with this theme. If you are conducting relevant research or are involved in related projects, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to me, Xin Meng, at xin.meng@rutgers.edu with a brief description of your idea.
