Dear Colleagues,
We are putting together a symposium on reproductive health and life transitions in the workplace, with a focus on experiences related to fertility treatments (such as IVF) and menopause. This symposium will be submitted to the 85th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Copenhagen, July 25-29, 2024.
The broad theme of the symposium is to explore how reproductive health challenges and significant life transitions-specifically, navigating fertility treatments and menopause-affect individuals in professional settings. Topics may include the unique demands these experiences place on employees, the need for workplace support and accommodations, and the impact on well-being, career advancement, and organizational dynamics. We aim to highlight these often under-researched areas and draw attention to the work being done, as well as identify future research needs.
If you are conducting research in these areas and are interested in contributing to our symposium, we would love to hear from you. Please send a tentative title and a brief abstract (up to 250 words) to lara.bertola@rennes-sb.com by November 26, 2024, so that we can assess whether your project fits with the papers we already have. We aim to finalize the selection of abstracts by December 1, 2024, with extended abstracts due by December 15, 2024.
